The crossed portrait, filmed over seven years, of two bands of psychedelic pop, in divergent destinies: The Dandy Warhols and The Brian Jonestown Massacre. Close at the beginning, the two bands gradually become rivals, the first get the success and the latter spend their time sabotaging their careers. However, if it is the Dandy Warhols leader who is ready to play as voice over narrator, it is rather the band of Anton Newcombe, the charismatic and cyclothymic BJM's leader, who is valued in the film, both for his incredible productivity (in 1996 the band released three self-produced albums) and for his repeating escapades – violent fights on stage, eternal ego conflicts, drug problems ...
