Born in 1959 in Auchel (Northern France), Herve Lesieur lives and works near Lille.
The body is his essential subject and he refuses to confine his work in any particular genre. Sculptures, performances and installations, photography and video, pictures ... He uses all the techniques of shaping, all materials in all media, hybridizing and transgressing the established categories.
Thus, for several years, Herve Lesieur works in theater as a set designer and teacher.
He edited three videos, Repas électrique, Prélude au Picotage de la trousse and Dimanche 3 octobre 1999, distributed by Heure Exquise!, Mons-en-Baroeul (Northern France).
After a major exhibition at the Galerie commune in 2000, in Tourcoing ERSEP (Regional School of Plastic Expression), Herve Lesieur created in March 2003 in Lille the show Les Bras de la Vénus de Milo, both set design, sound space and deployment of corollaries texts.
In 2001 he exhibited at the Maison de la Culture in Amiens and Galerie du Wazoo (also in Amiens), and the Espace Culturel Francois Mitterrand, in Beauvais (Oise).
