Miguel Chevalier was born in Mexico in 1959,
He works and lives mainly in Paris since 1985.
He graduated from the Ecole Nationale Superieure des Beaux Arts in Paris in 1980 and from the Ecole Nationale Superieure des Arts Decoratifs in 1983.
He received the Lavoisier scholarship to the Pratt Institute in New York in 84 and was the winner of the villa Kujoyama in Kyoto, in Japan in 1994.
Thanks to his multidisciplinary training and during his travels around the world Miguel Chevalier acquired a great artistic experience. His art is characterized by an exploration of technology of today since 1982. His field of investigation takes its sources in art history which he reformulates using the computer essential data. His themes relate to his observation of flows and networks which organize our contemporary society. He is known internationally as one of the pioneers of virtual and digital art. The images he gives us perpetually consult our relationship to the world.
