In the Museum of Villeneuve d'Ascq, Daniel BUREN has created an artwork "in situ" with his usual material : paper with vertical stripes. He gives a new interpretation of the architecture of the museum thanks to his two-dimensional support. His work becomes a structural part of the space by playing with the ideas of depth and perspective and also has a time dimension : in order to see the work as a whole, the visitor is led to move around continuously.
