Summary :
A few reflections on film, about hearing and seeing. Everything starts with the funeral march that is whistled by the murderer in M. The soundtrack conjures up a history of film, before the figures of oblivion appear on the screen, like a memory made of digital data. The electronic screen then becomes the scene of army operations, producing fragmented, shredded images. This very Lang-like theme of guilt takes on a new shape : are electronics responsible for the (present ? imminent ?) death of cinema ? GUITON is like Cassandra : he warns us of a threat which, like the Trojans, we don't want to hear about… Synopsis written by Marc MERCIER.
