Julie-C. FORTIER builds up situations in which she undergoes a series of trials. Her work, questioning the act of performing, breaks down the stillness and return to movement of her image, through a video performance. She therefore builds up situations in which she undergoes a series of trials, thanks to basic special effects that are most often produced during the shooting. Through their rigid framing, her video performances appear as the record of a series of manipulations affecting her image.
