CESAR

SÉRIE "MÉMOIRE"

of PETITJEAN Marc

FRANCE, 1993, 00:45:00

Production : Terra Luna Films, CENTRE GEORGES POMPIDOU, FRANCE 3 MEDITERRANEE
Collection : DAP - CNAP Centre National des Arts Plastiques
Genre : Documentary
Keyword : Sculpture, Maintenance, Art, studio

Summary :
César is without doubt one of the films symbolic of contemporary art. For nearly fifty years this personality has dominated the French artistic world by the pertinence and his inventiveness. His works in iron, his reductions, his enlargements or his soldered bronzes are among the most radical acts able to put in question the future of sculpture today. The present interview insists on the present-day importance of the artist, on everchanging figure led on by "the logic of the metal" employed and by techniques he never stops testing. THIS VIDEO IS PART OF THE "CNAP/DAP" COLLECTION ONLY AVAILABLE IN FRENCH TERRITORY.
