Summary :
Fire holds a fascination for Christian Jaccard. Three sequences, representing three types of combustion, show the artist at work: rapid combustion in his "Constructions éphémères", match constructions which sometimes reach human proportions; quick-burn for a work at the Galerie Louis Carré entitled "Brûlis intramuros", where the artist burns the white walls with nine fire-engraved arches; slow combustion in "Anonymes calcinés", 19th-century paintings reworked by fire. The soundtrack is made up of the diverse sounds of combustion. THIS VIDEO IS PART OF THE "CNAP/DAP" COLLECTION ONLY AVAILABLE IN FRENCH TERRITORY.
