Summary :
Jean-Jacques Lebel is a French painter, sculptor and creator of happenings. A conceptual approach prevalent in the sixties and seventies, the happening is perhaps best suited to expressing political protest and social confrontation. It opens up the art work, making it a collective event in which the artist and public communicate. Lebel's multidisciplinary work shares the perspective of the protest movements of May 1968, in which he had a prominent role.
