OH NOTHING

of DAY Dennis

CANADA, 1987, 00:10:58

Production : DAY Dennis
Genre : Fiction
Keyword : Love, Homosexuality, Media

Summary :
A mediated romance. An urban love story based on one-second spots of desire, design, consumerism and distraction. Set in the beautifully designed city of Toronto, Rebecca (graphics consultant) and Kevin (systems analyst) battle each other, their corporate sponsors, and their own minds in a continuous game of distraction. OH NOTHING is a living commercial in which everything is a product and nothing is remembered. OH NOTHING is perhaps one of the most laboured, yet spontaneous gestures I have ever made, and one that truly reflects the attraction and repulsion I experienced for that capitalist jewel - Toronto, in the eighties. I fought feelings of anxiety and stupidity every inch of the way, and when it was all tucked neatly into place, I stood back and thought... What have I done ?. (Dennis DAY). Starring Christine MARTIN and Dean EYFORD.
