For Greeks and Romans he is a hero, for the Arabs a prophet, for the Westerners a myth. He alone has turned the ancient world Hellenic up to the borders of India by relentlessly chasing his sworn ennemy Darius, the great King of Persia.The film evokes in a new way the universe of Alexander the Great, through the material and artistic traces of the ancient Macedonian civilization.

It relates the myth reaching us and history. The interpretation by Jonathan Hostier of excerpts of the text by Laurent Gaudé (Le tigre bleu de l’Euphrate - Editions Actes Sud) chants the film. Alexander face to death evokes his life ... But where was Alexander the Great from?
