Summary :
Sugar glass plate is placed in an outside space. Camera records the process of decay and changing shape and colors that appear under the influence of the environment. The recording broadcasts in real time.
Sugar is sweet; sweetness is sensuality, an essential feature of existence and joy of life. Under the sun, rain and in the air, the sugar melts, merges and disappears into the matter, which transforms it like life that dissolves in the ocean of matter. The obtained image refers to a close-up version of Paul Virilio’s “esthetics of disappearance”.
Sugar panel was produced in the workshop of candies and Turkish delight Bosiljcic, 14 Gavrila Principa in Belgrade.
