Summary :
The two directors of Les Filles de M&eacute;duse, B&eacute;n&eacute;dicte Alloing and Ell&eacute;nore Lemattre, have in common many years of practice as live models. This singular experience that is the exercise of the pose, made them want to bring to the screen the fruit of their questions and their point of view on this job of model. To leave a trace, a testimony of those who are in the center of attention but who always end up becoming invisible.<br /><br />Images and representations from models litter the places, buildings and museums, the study of the nude has always had an essential place in the learning of drawing, yet few models have left their name in the history of art<br />To be a model, is it then to be continually got through the gaze to finally disappear?<br />If the live model seems to carry in his/her essence this curious paradox, it was nevertheless important for the directors to share this solitary and introspective experience of the pose and to make the spectator discover the so particular world of the models.<br />In this short film, mixing documentary and fiction allows both to enter the reality of the profession through courses and live model workshops but also to dive into the imagination of the models through dreamlike shifts, aesthetic evocations of sensations and intimate thoughts of the one who poses.
