After scientific studies (DEA in theoretical physics) and music (piano), I left Paris in 1987 and settled in Marseille, in order to support my thesis.
In it, I take along with DEA ​​in philosophy / epistemology in order to write a dissertation on the concept of "virtual" science.
My deep attraction to artistic professions, and critical meetings with painters, poets, musicians and filmmakers, led me to decide a career change. Thus, after having had some teaching duties at the university as a substitute teacher, I joined the association in 1995, Polly Magoo (film program, Marseille), which I then take the direction.
The regular use of film festivals (including documentaries), associated with the work program of films (hosted by filmmakers, presentation sessions and field ,...) will be my training in this trade.
Sensitive because of my background in film approaches addressing scientific topics, I decided to organize in 2002, during the Science Festival, an event theme, entitled "The Mirror of Science," in which are offered to a wider audience of documentaries, short films and experimental films about science and then in 2006 to create a scientific film festival (Rencontres Internationales Sciences and Cinemas, Marseille).
In parallel with this activity of art direction, and fed the viewing experience of hard and passionate, I decided in 1995 to get into writing and filmmaking documentary nature and / or experimental. Thus, through the cinema, it is areas such as writing, poetry, music, sound (and of course the picture) who meet and are based - as a condensation of here all my centers interest. I found also in the assembly - an activity that excites me - something quite close to the sensations experienced at the time, a student, I was confronted with problems in mathematics or physics - the same pleasure in finding "solutions" (and the same concern will not find the idea that perhaps not) ... Thus, this spirit of inquiry that has always lived in is found here he mobilized for artistic purposes.
Today I want to continue to explore and discover - through the festival and our various measures of thematic programming - this area little known films of a scientific, but also able to transmit my experience and knowledge with students.
I also wish the same time continue this activity filmmaking, through personal projects as well as collaborations on writing and / or assembly.
