Summary :
Ramingining is an aboriginal community of 600 people, located in the middle of Arnhem (an independent aboriginal territory), in the great eucalyptus forest. Most of its inhabitants, at least the oldest, still practise the sacred painting of their ancestors. They paint with natural ochre on eucalyptus barks. Through seven portraits of the major painters of that region, we discover a culture based on an omnipresent spirituality which is rooted in the "dreamtime", that is, the time of the creation of the world, or rather the primordial space and time containing all past and future.
