Summary :
Like a fisherman trawling images and sounds…
CAPTURES is in four parts : Anaphora, Chiasmus, Metalepsis and Zeugma. I tried to transfer these rhetorical figures from language into the realm of seeing and therefore feeling. I didn't follow any script, I just set up a framework that served as a reference during the production. Each rhetorical form leads to a specific construction, only I took the liberty of not taking these idioms literally (which would not be possible in a dead language).
Then I asked a composer to do the same thing with music. The whole thing is as discordant as the mooing of literary creatures caught in the trap of the editing of the video sentence.
