Summary :
This movie is telling, through the study of sixty or so equestrian artworks of The Louvre Museum, about the extraordinary adventure of the domestication of the horse by the man, until becoming the symbol of his prestige and his power. An aesthetic and pedagogic evocation of the horse through the encounter of artworks and artists of all places and all centuries.

The Horses of The Louvre is the second section of a triptych consecrated to the artistic representation of the horse. The first movie happens at the museum of Orsay, and the third opus presents the view of 20th century artists at the Beaubourg museum.
