Summary :
The taped images of a country walk suffer a freaky montage : they are compressed, stretched, scratched, reversed and speeded up. Time stumbles and jolts from a distorted rhythm to an almost melodic swing. Cause and effect are muddled. The tape has got time-cancer.
The film was shot in one day on Inis Oirr, a small Island on the west coast of Ireland.
The music drives the gaze across a pebble stone beach, towards a rusty shipwreck. With the dancing camera and scratch-editing, the old Plessy starts moving again in a sea of stones. The roses and the stone walls become alive and the horizon dances in confusion : my head races through a blue night.
