Summary :
The pier and the merry-go-round look like a distant rattle toy moved by the wind. Flags fly as always along the seashore. The French tricolour has pride of place. The women help the children to get on a horse, a car, a plane, a giraffe or a pig. A few steps away, soldiers are setting up a very different game. A young woman in camouflage dress is not fighting for fashion. She thrusts a nervous kid on a vehicle equipped with a gun machine. Don’t be afraid, boy, I’m holding you. There’s no risk of you falling, there’s no risk of you dying. If, by any chance, it happened, you wouldn’t know. A few miles away, a man who is too old to do childish things plays with a kite: blue, white and red.
