Summary :
“It is a present-day couple, in an empty room of a Parisian flat. They are talking about love, and especially about viewpoints, truth and illusion. Through a choreography, the three dancers come to freeze into the exact space and positions of the three workers of Gustave Caillebotte’s painting: “Les raboteurs de parquet”, painted in1875. But the work of art is a transition, it is perpetual motion. Opposites are juxtaposed: naturalism’s rawest reality, and the direction of reality in a cinema studio where scene shifters, dancers and actors pass each other. It is 1875, but outside, it is the city. Now.” Cyril Collard.
