Summary :
Interviews with Amahiguere Dolo of January the 5th and 6th, 2006, at S�gou.

The Dogon sculptor Amahiguere Dolo interprets, as a free man, with his knowledges and his doubts, the ritual devices made individually, according to the prescription of a soothsayer or a marabout.
The protocol, of encounter and shooting, is precise :
The patient evokes his social problem to the soothsayer or to the marabout.
He prescribes to him a remedy : a ritual.
In an appropriate place, the device is build by the patient and delivered to the nature.
The problem of the patient is solved.
The definition given by Amahiguere Dolo, in the respect of the initiation, lights up our knowledge of the culture and the Bamanan and Dogon social rules.

At the Mali, in summer 2002, I started to carry out portraits : artists, gallery managers, art students� I realized that a form should be found to the words I was hearing over there. These words had been stolen, deviated, caricatured� this way reproducing behaviours of authority and submission of which we know well the negative extensions. A fix shot and a minimal sound recording, with a mike and a sober editing. This is derisory, but, actually, the essential is there. I am convinced I have took the right decision. This constraint became a positive asset.
