Summary :
HERE AND THERE is a document-fiction about the feeling of being at the same time here and somewhere else. Sandra KOGUT takes us into the poor suburbs of Rio and follows the steps of a young woman, Tuquinha Batista (TB), who dreams of joining her sister who has moved elsewhere. TB progressively reveals her world, through her encounters and the events of her neighbourhood, a world at once weird and funny, colourful and disturbing, with friendship and tenderness, laughter and tears, colours and rhythms. The camera becomes a passer-by that observes or moves away from everyday situations, and allows us to discover a truthful Brazil, somewhere between tradition and modernity.
