Summary :
A few years ago, I discovered a Super 8 film shot as an amateur by my grandfather during a business trip in China at the time of the Cultural Revolution of Mao Zhe Dong. I then seized this rare object to show it 40 years later in its original place. My intention was to offer it to the eyes of people met during my journey, to seek their reactions and to compare these images of that time to those of contemporary China. My question and my "investigation" suggest both the topography and the memory of the shooting place, as well as individual and collective memory. This work took the form of a film and an installation on 3 screens. Maeva Aubert
