Summary :
Year 25 of the Tsyn era. The earth is threatened by a liquid invader. A group of rebels has taken refuge in a large cellar. Four square pillars hold the ceiling. There is a rebel on every side of the pillars. Terril reflects about the guarding of this temple. Her day begins with the "ritual of the 16 sides", as she goes around each pillar in order to say hello to the rebels. Terril's companion is a strange mutant bird : Nedea's bird.
