UAKTI

BOLÉRO

of SANTOS Eder

BRAZIL, 1987, 00:07:00

Production : EMVIDEO, SANTOS Eder
Genre : Video art
Keyword : Music

Summary :
A distorted bolero by Ravel, an indolent demon surrounded by fish dances in front of a graphical background made up of the computer codes of digitalized sounds. The Uakti group plays "self-made" instruments, some of which find their resonance when being placed alternatively in and out of water. This explains the presence of fish and the watery nymphs in the decor in which there is also a reference to Uakti, the monster which, according to the Tucano Indians, used to prowl in the Amazonian jungle.
