This video, made in the style of Kurosawa's RASHOMON, recreates the last moments before the mysterious death of the cuban artist Ana MENDIATA, who fell from the 34th floor flat where she had lived for 8 months with her husband, the artist Carl ANDRE. Her death and the trial for murder that followed for Carl ANDRE, led to violent debates within the world of art and raised questions about the sexual, racial and class inequalities of the legal system. HERSHMAN gives MENDIATA a posthumous voice, detailing the numerous ambiguities of the investigation as told by several friends of Ana's.
