Summary :
As it was for Le Corbusier, the planet is mounir fatmi’s studio. Everything human interests him and life, like an open wound, impels him to create, to bear witness, to structure his effervescent ideas, to transform suffering into words and images. Without Anaesthetic: fatmi feels it all intensely, under the skin, and seeks to offer the hope of a sensitive gaze taking in perpetual destruction, death and loss.

During the four years of his residency, fatmi filmed over 50 hours of rushes, and he is still continuing. The artist (...) is thus continuing his critique of the world and the way it is manhandled and twisted.
