Summary :
Abena ("blanket" in Tunisian) is a film that combines audio interviews and graphical animations to tell the story of my blanket. A woollen blanket woven by my grandmother, my father’s mother, and that was given to my own mother for their marriage. I recorded the stories of some of my family members’ about this object. I only kept the sounds of the interviews, in order to weave this blanket’s story again with everyone’s stories. They are different stories that deal with the same object without really naming it. What is associated with the blanket is very interesting; talk about it without giving it a name, draw it without showing it. (Amel EL KAMEL)
