Summary :
Dunkirk. A man returns to his hometown. His life has crossed the „short 20th century“. In a hotel room he tries to bring the fragments of his life together. His meories resemble a caleidoscope. Beyond pieces of stories and unknown persons, he finds in the shadows and weak lights of moving images a muffled and distorted echo of his life. Memories are fragile, space-time breaks, suddenly the present becomes painfully apparent. In people at the edge of nowaday’s society he encounters his revenants. He understands that the crimes of a century from wich he could escape are based in the discourse of extinction.

In the industrial city whose heavy breathing rhythms the time, he continues his quest, and in so doing, puts to us in perspective, the being history of cinema, and the being fiction of the documentary.
