Summary :
Cheryl Ward, American archaeologist, global specialist in ancient navigation, coordinates the construction of a replica of an Egyptian ship of the New Kingdom from the bas-relief of the temple of Deir el Bahari in Luxor. This bas-relief tells that a fleet of five ships, chartered by the Pharaoh Hatshepsut 1500 years before our era, managed to find back the wonderful and distant land of Punt. On board the reconstituted ship, the archaeologists intend to make the journey again to prove that the Egyptians were a seafaring people. By following this human adventure, this film sheds new light on the reign of this great Pharaoh who was of Queen Hatshepsut.
