I was born far from here; I am a foreigner. In this strange language I can build only simple sentences. I can say that the sky is blue, that the sea is blue, that the sun heats up the land, that my house was white, that my land was fertile; that the scars on my hands were worth it. On the other hand, I fully realize that experience piles up in disorder; that my age has made me forget a lot of things, that the trees have grown too quickly; that their branches have prevented me from seeing the blue of the sky that books describe.
