Summary :
Video constructed in circular movements. Behind glass, a half-open mouth emerges from a dark mass of hair. The face continues to rotate to the right, plunging again before re-emerging. With each turn, the face takes on an increasingly saturated shade of red, until the features are no longer recognizable.<br /><br />V&eacute;ronique Sapin works with black-and-white images. She favors color when it imposes itself as a<br />metaphor.<br /><br />Here, it's not the hair that's veiled, it's the hair that veils. Is it to catch her breath that the woman opens her mouth, or is it for pleasure? The face is thus always veiled, always slightly revealed in a close-up where only the hair frames it and only the red lips suggest a boundary. The close-up prevents us from stepping back, from reading anything. It's as if we're suspended between several possible interpretations.
